LAYLA Journal is a literary journal that is composed of artwork, poetry, and short stories written about Islam. People can submit their work to The Kawthar Project online, and after a review process, the best of those works are compiled into a literary journal.

Currently the LAYLA Journal Volume 2 is posted on our website. You can purchase a PDF with exclusive content here. The Kindle and print versions of volume 1-4 are still available to purchase on amazon, but will be discontinued from volume 5 onwards.

We created LAYLA Journal to promote the culture of art and literature dedicated to the Ahl al-Bayt in the West. This culture is present in many other languages, but is not yet established in English.
