Overview

This volume will focus on the life of Lady Fatimah bint Muhammad (a). She is the daughter of the last Prophet of Allah, the wife of Imam Ali (a), and the Leader of the women of paradise.

In this journal, we are looking for works that focus Lady Fatimah (a)’s perseverance throughout her life. We are looking for works that focus on her perseverance throughout her childhood, her life after her marriage to Imam Ali (a),  after the death of her father Prophet Muhammad (a), and her martyrdom. Even in the last moments of her life after many of her rights were taken away from Lady Fatimah (a), her faith never faltered.

Inshallah we plan to focus on the four women of paradise over a series of journals during the coming years during Rajab.

You can submit art, poetry, or a short story.  You can submit one piece to each section. For example, you can submit, an art, poetry, and short story submission, but not 3 poetry submissions. Continue reading “Layla Journal Volume 4 Submissions Open!”

Ramadan Booklet: Week 3

Salaam, thank you for all of your feedback! This week we will be doing things differently with a double posting. Due to the martyrdom of Imam Ali this week, we decided to release Week 3 late. Since tonight is also Laylatul Qadr, we decided the late release would also give children something to do while their parents are occupied in prayer. Week 3’s activities are a little harder than the previous weeks so we would love your feedback at info.thekawtharproject@gmail.com.

Every week of Ramadan we will be releasing a week’s worth of activities! The activities were made for the 8-11 age group with the intent to be completed anywhere and not need any additional crafting supplies other than crayons.
